Building for the Future: Reflections on Diversity, Empowerment, and Collaboration was the theme of the 2006 AALSA/SALSA/LaLSA Annual Alumni Banquet, sponsored by the Asian American Law Students Association, the South Asian Law Students Association, and the Latino Law Students Association on Saturday, April 8th at Peking Park (100 Park Avenue at 40th Street). The honorees included the Honorable Jaya K. Madhaven, New York City Civil Court, Housing Judge, Bronx County; Fernando A. Bohorquez, Jr. '99, associate at Baker & Hostetler, LLP; and Jane Hyun, principal of Crossroads Associates, Inc. and the author of Breaking the Bamboo Ceiling. The evening included performances by several groups of ethnic dancers and musicians.
